We couldn’t be more excited about our new book, Listening Is an Act of Love (Penguin, November 8, 2007). We hope that you share our excitement and will help spread the word! We came up with some ideas of how you can help:

• Order copies and give them to your family and friends! Remember, 100% of the royalties from book sales will go towards our mission, as an independent non-profit organization.
• Invite your friends to a Listening party. This is a great way to listen and read StoryCorps stories together and share stories of your own.  Learn more with the How-To Kit. Don’t forget to have a box of tissues on hand!
• Choose Listening Is an Act of Love as your next book club selection. The touching heartfelt stories contained in Listening are sure to supply your club with many, many hours of thought-provoking discussion. Download a free copy of the Listening Is an Act of Love discussion guide. And, if your local book store has a book club pick of the month, you might want to take it a step further by suggesting Listening.
• Visit (or re-visit!) the nearest StoryBooth with someone you love and encourage others to do the same.
• Pass along our website and encourage those you know to join our
  ever-expanding family!  Now you can post StoryCorps stories directly on
  your websites and blogs.  See our Podcast page for details. It’s easy!
• Pick up your recorder and talk to family and friends during holiday gatherings. Tips and sample questions to use for an interview can be found on our Great Questions page.
• Look out for StoryCorps in media near you.  A sampling of press about the book can be found at What People are Saying.  Listen to radio interviews and read what the papers and blogs are saying about us.
